After reading the other post about counterfeit 1923 and 1925 penny, I decide to take picture of my 3, 1923 penny.

The one in the middle, definitely seems fake, and it's also 180 degre rotated..

What do your guys think of those 3 penny ?

We need larger pics of both sides of the coins to identify counterfeits.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

It looks fake to me. But a larger picture of both sides is required to be sure.

# 1 cleaned and #3 both real. # 2 dubious to say the least.! I hope those Chinese counterfeiters die a " death of a thousand cuts". The factories have to be shut down as they are killing the coin hobby!

If it is fake, which it looks suspicious to me (imo) it's staggering to think of the money they potentially could have spent on the presses, dies, and other equipment to produce these coins. Part of me thinks the factory may even be a legitimate one that has an 'after hours' operation going on as well. And all to make old Canadian Cents? they must be making a lot of other counterfeits as well.

# 2 is 100% counterfeit or else you have a $1000 coin.

If the colour is right it looks like #1 was dipped in vinegar :(. #2 is counterfeit and #3 is a really nice deep chocolate colour, I like it!

Do the edges on #2 look more rounded to anyone else? To me it looks like the edge rounds in, completely different than the other two. The coin itself is slightly smaller and looks thicker with the face having a decreased surface area.

911vans to CCF, enjoy your stay with us.

Your #2 coin is for sure a counterfeit as you can tell by the date.
Would like to see the obverse though.
