Got this one off ebay for 36$, which is probably a bit high, but I liked it.

These are the seller pics.

How'd you grade it?

Thanks for looking .

A common date in an UNCOMMON condition!
Current bid/ask prices CDN
VF
27/30
Worth 36 all day long.
The lower band in Liberty could be an XF. Reverse not a strong, common in all Barbers.

Very nice quarter!

In my book, it's a solid VF-30.

I'd say you got a pretty good deal at $36, although I see some minor PVC damage on both the obverse and reverse.

Roll,
Would you please indicate the areas which you suspect of PVC damage?
I'm sure that I am not the only collector who wants to learn this.

Matthew,

I think they are referring to the green stuff on the observe and in the "ate" of states on the reverse. My understanding is when the coin was stored in older style plastic flips, the flips would more or less melt onto the coin over a long period of time , leaving a green residue. That is why many flips are advertised as "PVC free".

Matthew - I think he refers to the green residue on both sides.
Would you try Acetone to remove it?

As others stated, the bright green is active PVC. An acetone bath along with a rinsing of distilled water and PAT dry, not rub. Should kill the active stuff.

Do you think the mark in the denticle by T in trust would net this a details grade?

Probably not, they are pretty forgiving on these older coins. The active PVC will details grade if it is not stopped with an acetone rinse.
