Do they even make silver bullion coins in South Africa? I always thought the Krugerrand was only made in gold.

I've heard this before from one of our other South African members. It's sad to know that this hinders your ability to collect. And even ordering from Canada or the US will hit you with shipping so you'd have to buy in bulk and then probably pay import charges. There is little to do about it...

it must very frustrating , when your own country's coins are too expensive!! It really must limit what you collect and how often you're able to add to your collection. Do you import coins often, and is there tax on 99.9 silver coins? How long have you been collecting, and what's your favorite coin? I hope you enjoy your time on the forum, there's lots of great information here. I hope to read more of your posts!
