Obw Rolls, Leave Em Or Tube Em? - Coin Community Forum

zeke5 Valued Member United States 286 Posts	Posted 06/16/2014 4:00 pm I recently acquired some OBW rolls of LMC's (70-74pds - 75-83pd). My question is, should I leave them in the paper rolls or remove them and put them in tubes for long term storage? Report this Post to the Staff

It's an interesting dilemma. As long as they are rolled, you can't prove they are really OBW. And once you open them to prove it, they aren't. (Why I would never pay a premium for an OBW.) welder Pillar of the Community United States 1037 Posts	Posted 06/16/2014 10:20 pm Personally, I do not open Mint rolls or original Federal Reserve rolls. I do open bank rolls because they could contain anything. One old bank roll I opened contained 3 IHC's. I would definitely open your 75-83pd rolls. Report this Post to the Staff
