Hi, about three weeks ago I bought lot of five coins of someone, the lot included 1 ancient roman coin 1 ancient Greek coin 2 Morgan silver dollars and 1 English silver coin from 1890, after reading quit a few articles on the site I am starting to doubt if these coins are real, I would appreciate the communities opinion, also can someone point me in the right direction and let me know where I can post the pics of the 2 Morgan silver dollars and the English dollar. thanks Edited by xamenos 06/17/2014 10:42 am

Unfortunately, both are crude brass cast fakes, manufactured for locals to flog to tourists. The bottom one is similar to a very common fake given out by Readers Digest, a long time ago. The top is imitating a Vitellius Sestertius, which #I havent seen before. The bottom appears to be several generations into a Dekadrachm of Syracuse (by generations, I mean that this is a cast of a cast of cast).

Vitellius definitely looks dodgy. The Greek coin is usually seen in silver with this design. The squiggles around the head are supposed to be dolphins. Not good news, sorry.
