It's an English hammered groat, or fourpence. The king's name is Edward; Edward IV, I believe.

I'm a bit worried about the colour. It looks very coppery in the photo; I hope that's just a trick of the lighting?

Hello, yes, it is the lighting . It is a medium silver color in person. There is very light rainbow toning that is impossible to see except when looking at the coin under a direct bright light. Also forgot to add 25.5 mm and 3.1g, very thin.

I agree with Edward IV groat. I'm thinking the mintmark is pellet-in-annulet, though on the obverse it looks like just an annulet, and the reverse just a pellet.

Cool! Can you let me know where the mintmark(s) are on the coin? I don't know much about identifying / looking at older coins such as this.

There's an obverse and reverse mark at the beginning of the legend, before EDWARD and POSUI respectively.
