hi
I have a small collection of French ' assignats ', I do not know if it is the correct English denomination.
My question is how to grade them , do you do it like banknotes or are there other rules ? I put some pics of different values , the quality is most the same or better .What is your opinion?

Nice group of notes you have there. Usually the UNC designation is a bit loose on these notes, I think folks are just willing to give a bit of leniency to something that's over 200 years old. But basically you have the same grading, with things like thin spots, creases, rust spots and most notably very close margins being reasons for downgrade.
