Can someone here please describe to me the varieties on the Russian banknotes of 1947 that have 15 or 16 scrolls,i cannot figure out where to find them
It's in the number of bands wrapped around the wheat stalks. This one has eight and seven plus one at the bottom = 16. The other has 7 on each side plus one = 15.
I think they represent the Republics that were within the old USSR.
Thanks Thai-Vic,i have the 100 and the 50 ruble notes from a blue set that is dated 1947 and both notes have 7 on each side plus one at the bottom,i am hoping this is the rarer of the two varieties
