I have been more interested in High Relief silver coins lately. I picked up an American Bald Eagle from Perth and it is so beautiful. The Wedge-Tailed Eagle is next, plus it was designed by John Mercanti. After that I want the 2oz Poseidon and the Britannia Mule. I need to win the lottery!

Hello,

Last Sat. I was hitting the local yard sales scooping up Ag & Au and ran into an incredibly toned 31.1 g ASE.

I paid a bit under spot for mine and then searched ebay for similar 2004 toned ASE coins.

I could not believe what this seller is asking for his 2004 toned ASE:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/14121583817...RK:MEBIDX:IT

I wanted to get opinions from CCF members on what others think a MS grade 2004 toned ASE should go far.

Once I obtain several opinions on this subject, I will post a photo of my particular toned ASE find for additional opinions from CCF members insofar as retail pricing.

thx,

mdpmedia

@ mdpmedia

You should probably start a separate thread for this discussion but, that is an artificially toned coin that the seller is trying to sell as a "natural rainbow toned coin" without actually claiming it is natural.

Natural rainbow toning is very desirable and can command big dollars. Artificially toned coins are worth no mare than bullion prices.

agreed mdpmedia, maybe start your own for that discussion!

I think I'm switching back to ASE's for a couple months :)
