Paid more than I usually would, 30p per coin (50c). These coins were issued by British Tribes to use as small change. Most copy FEL TEMP REPARATIO, but others designs show up, even a barbarous coin of Poemenius' Revolt is known. Some tribes issued larger coins (even folles), and you can tell issuers apart by design.

Some interesting ones in there, including one new style I havent seen before (2nd row, second from the left). Theres one that I suspect might be a cut Magnentius follis, but we'll have to see.

Who knows? Theres questions as to whether any were produced post-roman times. They initially thought they were produced into the medieval period, but its clear that they have dissapeared by he end of the Anglo Saxons (theres a Sceat which some argue is a hihgly devolved tetricus imitation, 600 years after the fact).

As for dating them, theres not much to go by. I'm lucky in that I own a group that was found (roughly) together, which came with a few official coins, so I can say that those tribes issued at the time (the ones I'm sure issued then include the ones who pump out the Chubby Neck busts (they look a bit like Nero) and the far reaching tribe issuing using the mint mark CSLG).

Out of this lot, the only one id be comfortable saying is post roman is the furthest right,3rd row from the top. The bust resembles the initial coinage of the Anglo Saxons. However - I do already have one from another roman uncleaned lot, so who knows.
