I heard the Donald Duck coin is available for sale this week.

yes Lostworlds is right... NZ mint is authorized to make them, market them, Perth Mint is selling them for them, with them.. Exact same situation like with the Dr Who coins. |

great! I am in for the silver,,, I wonder if I will have to buy Donald off the secondary, the gold coin that is... I like Donald way much more than Mickey.

Gold Donald sold out in minutes at NZ mint! Wow that was fast.
I grabbed 10 silver and was lucky enough to get 1 gold.

man thats crazyyyy! I will be stalking for a Donald Duck but first need to see where gold and silver prices go. Whos going to be selling the Donald Duck coin besides the NZ and Perth Mint? I wonder if WSD coins is going to carry him? |

that was nuts! those 1000 gold coin all went within the first 10 minutes! thank god, I managed to get one and won't be paying 1000$+ for it!

i wonder if the price of this coin drops further due to the fact that-
1- this is the second coin in the series
2- this is not the Donald Duck that most people are familiar with.
3- Donald is not as popular as Mickey

@yup7676 I don't think the price is going to drop... honestly, yes it is the second of the serie, but from what I got, it is also the last. the other disney coins look like they are going to be a totally different serie... guess we'll see as they announce the future release.
It is not the donald duck that most people are familiar with, this is true, but isn't that the whole point of VINTAGE? if you want to look at it this way, mickey hasn't changed that much, but he is also a vintage one too.
It is true that donald is not quike as popular as mickey, but it definitely is popular... I think overall, the coin looks really good (can't wait to have my copy in hand) and honestly, 1000 is a rather small mintage. so I truely think that the gold coin will continue to gain in value. as for silver, I think it will probably hold its value... but only time will tell!
