PEGLEG==(SCARCE?) == (RARE?)

Doing research on PEGLEG Ikes.

Nomenclature talks about Scarce and Rare.

I can't figure out which word indicates the less or more of the situation.

Any help please?

Hope tis helps and it seems that you are just confused with the two terms associated with this variety so I guess the easiest way to put it from your wording would be :

Scarce: More
Rare: Less

I believe the pegleg to be between common-scarce, as I can find them pretty easily at LCS's as well as other source's like online and ebay etc.

How I define them myself in laman's terms:

Common- Plenty of examples exist and are readily available.
Scarce- Fewer examples exist and may be hard to find.
Rare- Very few examples exist and almost impossible to locate.

I would rank some words like so:

Common < Uncommon < Scarce < Rare

On ebay:

Rare < Rare < Rare < Rare

Don't forget the 12 exclamation marks that follow after each rare.
