The Mexican Market as with any "young" and misunderstood market in some areas still has no real appreciation for the contemporary counterfeits whether they be the more valuable Type 1 (i.e., off-metals) or the slightly debased silver China Types (Type 2). With more analyses being performed this will take time to build like the Machins Mills Newburgh, NY contemporary counterfeit English styled halfpence in the
Red Book which took several decades to make it in the #1 coin reference book in the U.S.. So too with GNL Type 1's and 2's. Time, education and a "proper" mode of appreciation for these historical pieces.
I say young for Mexico since with the new Bailey Books coming out, the recent formation of MNA, a total rewrite of KM for the War of Independence section ,etc ... all this takes time. Alot of GOOD is happening in this area of numismatics.
CC8R's are a GOOD thing ... seems weird ... but its only 2015.
