I decided to assemble a modern Lincoln proof set (I have so many from grab bags, I figure "why not"). So, I made a list of ones I needed, then went to the LCS and realized I left it at home. In the discount bin at the LCS, I found a nice looking 1960 proof cent. I couldn't remember if I have one already, and if I did, I didn't remember if it was the large or small date variety. I decided the risk of duplicating a coin in my inventory was worth .50 cents, so I bought it. I got it home and looked in my current set, and yep, I had a 1960 large date proof. I looked at this one a bit closer with the loupe, and whaddaya know...it appears to be a 1960 small date proof, purchased for only .50 cents. Seems like these are going for around $10.00 or more in some circles. Anyway, here's a pic. I think I did alright. What do you think?
