I was wondering if anyone knew about the water marks on the new $100 Bill. I found one and it seems that Pres. Franklin has both eye's SHUT. The others I have looked at his eye's are open. Is this normal? All the security features seem to be correct. Any Help? Thank You. Edited by Dar 06/28/2014 5:03 pm

Watermarks are more of an art than a science, so to speak.
The ones on the new $100s do seem to be especially cartoony, though. I wouldn't doubt various variations but would still call them normal.

I thought they were the same as on the old ones.

I know the clock reads a different time than the old 100's

The new ones look so much uglier than the old ones though.

I suppose that's a matter of opinion. I like all the design iterations of 100's and the new one is quite a colorful step forward.

I like the new $100 better than the old (except for the "One Hundred Dollars" text on the top rather than the bottom, and the switching of plate position and plate number), but I still much prefer the 1928-style bills.
