Thanks for the advice..... Will give olive oil a shot. Couldn't hurt, right? How long should I soak?

Still waiting for inputs as to whether this is an RPD based on the new photos. I really cant tell, Indians aren't my strong suit.

John,
There is no hard and fast rule on the olive oil soak.
Sometimes a day or 2 helps sometimes a couple of weeks.
It never has harmed any coins I have soaked so there is relly no downside to trying it.
