Obvious some green growth on the back. Is that PVC or verdigris? I have a hard time telling the difference, but it looks to be on the surface as opposed to penetrating the coi. Should an acetone bath take care of it? Anyways, grade?

I think it could go as high as AU50. Try the acetone. If that don't work go for verdicare

A good soak in olive oil would prob help the reverse.

AU50, and it looks to me like an old PVC residue. The bad news are that it seems someone has already tried acetoning it, so I'd guess additional soaks won't be too effective.

Isn't PVC residue usually found on high points?

Updated photos from my own camera. I'm torn whether or not this is considered an RPD, or if it is just debris......but I am far from any kind of rpd expert either....so maybe someone can chime in...but I'm thinking it is just debris above the date.

I also performed a very brief acetone soak, with no results....but I don't trust myself to do anything more yet on a $200 copper

Also note the coin has 4 FULL diamonds...just barely.

I have no reservations about calling that AU50... the green crap might be an issue, try olive oil, that should solve the problem and might darken it up a bit too.
