Don't think so. Looks like split plating to me.Keep looking though they are out there.Good luck.

What about your 1961 D/D? Now that one was a beauty!

This one looks like one of the many Zincoln split plate/rot candidates. I must kill a couple of hours CRHing on 80s MM investigations many of which result in the disappointing conclusion I was duped by the rot!!

That is split plating. The punch that makes the mint mark on the coin sometimes makes a fin on the lower part of the die. Thus many coins will show the split plating on the lower part of the mint mark. When the plating splits, then the zinc starts to deteriorate and raise. Thus making it appear it is a RPM, but it is not. If it were a RPM the upper loop of the mint mark would show the same thing and it doesn't.
