What do you grade this coin? Let's see if it matches up with the generous grading the seller marked it with.

Cleaned definitely (notice the dull lifeless appearance).
At best XF-40 but that's a push.

Thanks for the assessment.

I rated it VF-35 myself. It doesn't look this dull in person, I think I used too soft lighting, but it probably has been cleaned. There is some traces of gunk around the letters but nowhere else that seems to suggest it, too.

The seller rated this "GEM GEM BU+++" and wrote that on the coin flip. Isn't that supposed to be like MS-65 equivalent? I knew it was nowhere near that the second I got it in the mail, even as a newbie, but it was too cheap a coin to bother arguing for a return. Rookie purchase mistake and I didn't look closely at an enlarged picture before buying.

"Details" is the dondition of the devices on the coin..the overall condition of your coins details suggest its has very fine details.. Not super worn but still shows circulation wear..hope that answers your question

VF 35 Details is what a coin is given if there is a problem like cleaning, scratches, holes, etc.

I've since learned that "Details" is what they give a coin that can't be properly graded.

Cool coin, though, I'll try to find more I think. Only hopefully I don't pay BU prices for a cleaned VF coin again, dangit.

Okay, I think my picture really stunk the first time. Would you still give it the same grade with these pictures? (Same coin)
