Poll Question
From your experience what economic levels are represented in your coin club? The descriptions next to the choices only serve as examples and are not exclusive. Many coin collectors are retired, so select based on what categories you think most correctly identifies them financially.

Upper Class ($5M+ net worth. CEO, wealthy industrialist, heir or heiress)
Upper Middle Class ($1-5M net worth. Doctor, lawyer or successful business owner)
Middle Class ($100k/yr. salary. Typical dual income middle management)
Lower Middle Class ($50K/yr. salary. Dual income working retail or government)
Low Income ($20K/yr salary. Barely making it)
Poverty

Select all that apply.

Apparently the polling software will not allow us to select more than one option. That sucks.

Why does the salary of the members of your coin club matter? It seems a bit of a snobbish question to ask to be honest. Maybe there's a different reason you're asking but I can't see it.

In the two coin clubs I'm a member of, there are people in all of the categories you've mentioned.

What about age?

I think I am one of maybe 4 out 35 members which show up for the monthly meeting who is under 45.

We have 100+ members but many have moved out of state or I have never seen at the monthly meetings.

I would hope most people would not brag about how much money they are worth even among fellow collectors but if someone shows up at your meeting and for show and tell has a $500K coin you can assume they have a vast collection.

We have a few members who have written books in their respective fields (paper money, wooden money, etc) and are world wide renowned plus WI is home to Krause Publications with a few staff writers and seasoned veterans who are members and hen there are those in the background like me who coin roll hunt and have 5 1971D Kennedy halves struck on quarter stock and Monster Box finds who have internet fame unbeknownst to the older generations (at last I hope so in my own mind )

My first Monster Box was my first show and tell since I came back to the club after many years away after being a YN.

In the Sydney branch of the Australian Numismatic Society, of which I am a member, there are people in all of the categories that you've mentioned.

Same applies to the Mercedes-Benz Club of which I am also a member.

It worthy to note in that in both my cases of club membership that
your total financial wealth has nothing to do with your ability to contribute to club life, and the respect that you enjoy from all other club members.

Australian society is very egalitarian in this respect.
