Why Did The Ebay Counterfiet Thread Get Locked?

I guess we are not supposed to discuss alternate solutions. The reply by oldcollectorcoins was an interesting post. I guess this was viewed as the start of that thread going sideways.

Do you hear any more vocal critics of ebay on Coin Community than me?

I didn't lock the thread, but the fact that it went almost a month and a half without a reply, until yesterday, pretty much indicates that you guys didn't find it a very discussion-worthy topic. It irritates me to no end when people dredge up old threads.

My first impression of oldcollectorcoins' suggested method is that - however worthy - he's advocating something I'm really leery of endorsing in public by letting it fly. It's prohibited by ebay for good reason. That would probably have been enough for me to choose to lock it.
