I see these moreso with Buffalo nickles than any other series.
When you run across a coin with this error, do you add value, subtract value, or does it not matter ?
I have seen all three opinions and am curious how the members here feel about this issue ?

If you collect LAM's then it adds value, the bigger the LAM the more increase in value. If you don't collect LAM's then you probably pass on that coin with the LAM.

May add value to lower valued coins and subtract value of pricier coins, all depends on the collector and size &location of the lam.

Let me rephrase the question :
As you look at coins at coin shows and Coin stores, do you usually see discounts or premiums attached to coins that have lamanations ?

You'll usually see them offered at a premium, because the right collector will pay it and the ones who won't, won't bite at all.

small lams definitely detract from higher grade coins.
