I ordered some books on the Minting Process so while I wait, I wanted to bring this coin up. I didn't know if this would be a RPM because one, I looked up Wexlers site and couldn't find any RPM's for the Washington quarter and two, I couldn't find much past 1982...another thought is hub doubling or Machine Doubling. If you look at "In God We Trust" you may/may not see doubling. Later today I'll be by my computer to put up better pics...

No RPM's after 1989. Are you talking about what looks like a large D below the normal D?

Thanks for your response John and the answer to your question is yes. There seems to be some interference (what I thought could be a mint mark) in-between the D as well. Its an interesting coin but if it can't happen it can't happen.
