1957-D Washington quarter Misplaced MM CPG FS-501

I been looking for one of these I gave in and got one off ebay today for $28 I figure that price.. was ok..

What appears to be a extra D mintmark misplaced in the branch above and left of the primary mintmark. Listed in the CherryPickers' Guide as FS-501. and this one is from JT Stanton collection so I can assume its legit.

I forgot to add that the reason I wanted one.. Was after I read Rupesters post...
So I went out last weekend and the one before to 4 flea markets and 6 LCS and seen about 35 vendors that sell silver quarters to try to cherry one. no luck locally... I couldn't wait..

I agree some of controversial coins are fun to have. I also like to get a hands on example to aid in the search. I noticed that once I have one in hand, finding 2nd comes faster and identifying and verifying it is very simple. but most where slabbed and pricey till I seen they had a few loose ones for $25 plus $3 shipping I think they still have one more for same thing.

We should do a poll!! MpMm or die gouge or mystery die formation!! Like the superbird or the 62 "D" proof franklin is there a mad mint mark maker? Perhaps he sneezed right before he put the mint mark in.... Dagnabbit!! Hahaha how fun!!
