So, for a bit of back story... as some of you know I'm also very into collecting (and using) bushcraft/survival knives and all aspects of primitive living/homesteading.. I've grown up doing it and absolutely love it, and was fortunate enough to be asked to start teaching winter survival recently and some great opportunities have arose to make a future out of my love of the woods, (the main reason I haven't been around here as much..) but that's a story for another day. So anyways, I picked this custom knife up on the bay tonight... $23 (FAR LESS than my usual blade purchases)... Genuine mother of pearl scales (handles).... Nice huh? Sorry for the blurry pics.... You'll understand why the pics are tough to capture as well as the low price in a minute.... Lol. Sellers pics.... I could probably take better pics when it's in hand as I'm used to photographing coins.... But not bad for the seller who doesn't specialize in coins I'd say...

So here's the part that has to do with coins.... This knife is an actual, working knife... Straight up made for batoning (processing wood with a knife)..... But only this baby is made for batoning toothpics!

It's 5/8'ths of an inch! Last year I saw a similar piece only the knife was an inch long and in a walker .... But it wasn't a "bushcraft" knife and got bid up to over $60.... So I passed... But this one is right up my alley and not ony the smallest I've ever seen but also the price was right! It reminds me of a Loveless drop point hunter.. Only extremely tiny! I'm quite happy with this purchase!

That's cool! Reminds me of in the movies how they carve out a book to put a gun inside. A bit smaller though here! Could you explain the things you do in survival/homesteading, that sounds really interesting.
