Before you list it for sale get it authenticated. Otherwise you won't get near to its real value.

Actually, split planchet early decimal Australian coins are quite scarce, but they are not very rare. In fact, they were / are a little less scarce with copper nickel planchets, especially of the 10 and 20 Cent denominations of the same period, that is, from 1966, until about 1980. Perhaps the period in which this sort of error may have occurred may have been less than five years. I suspect they may have all come from the same mint, and that would have to be Canberra, because the Perth Mint did not strike circulation coins in this period. As with all split planchet errors, it seems that there may have been some imupities may have found their way into the metal strip (oil from the rolling press?), as the strip was being rolled to the specified thickness, prior to blanking.

I like the PCGS photography too, very nice. Have you thought about creating a PCGS error showcase set? It can be a cool place to showcase your PCGS errors (and yes, I have three showcase sets in there myself). http://www.PCGS.com/SetRegistry/sho...s.aspx?c=111
