Found this few days ago..no 4..I'm guessing strike thru?my apologies,already put it in 2x2

Weak 4 or no 4 on a steel cent is very common. My '43 steel wheatie has a weak 4. If it was another date I would call Grease Filled Die, but the fact that most steel cents have that makes me unsure.

Ahh ok good info thanks-they have a decent strong date like that with the 4 missing? Or is whole date usually weak?

Rookie here, This got me looking at mine and grabbed my 1943's that were with in arms reach and out of 6, none show a weak 4 or date. Only to two of them were Philly mint. Thanks, Doug.
