I have an old coin collection that has various different sized coins from Eisenhower dollars to Mercury dimes. They are currently stored in an old shoe box. I would like to put them into some type of holder. Where can I get a holder like this? I was thinking of using this method here...

But I read to be careful choosing plastic because it can degrade and stick to your coins. Any suggestions? Thanks.

to CCF! I store my sets in an album like that and it does not damage the coin. It will eventually tone the coin but it will take a while. For the loose ones I would use 2X2 which are little cardboard holders that have a clear non-coin-damaging plastic. There are some pages that fit in a three ring binder that could be used to hold 2X2's. My local coin shop will sell you a 20 slot page for about 80 cents.

I like Dansco albums. Whitman, Littleton, and Intercept shield are also nice.

However, at the very least you should have the coins in a 2x2 before putting them in the shoe box...

If you go the 2x2 route, 20 pocket pages and a binder (any three ring will do) is all you need...

The 2x2 cardboard flips are a good way to do this. They come in sizes to fit most coins and then are trimmed to all equal 2x2" square. I have half dollars and dimes stacked together.

This is what I'm talking about.

They go for pretty cheap on ebay or you can get individual sizes at hobby lobby or the coin shop.
