So I picked up a Morgan dollar today for 20 bucks, despite these dark spots on it, because I was just looking to cheaply fill a hole and that's a pretty good price to get any Morgan for. My question about these spots are: What are they? and Is there any way to remove them?

Now I know, I know, cleaning coins is very bad for them and you should never do it. But I have no plans on re-selling this coin, and I would rather it look cleaned than have the spots on it. I don't want to harshly brush it or anything obviously, but if a dipping or something would remove the spots, I would be fine with that.

Here are some pics. The spots aren't raised so it's not dirt or anything.
