Any suggestions on how to remove burnished ASEs or Commemoratives from the capsules without damaging coin AND capsule?

Most I have been able to open at the seams, photograph and replace. A few would not release from the base of the capsule but with a tap the coins have come out.

Try sharpening the edge of an old credit card and forcing it into the seam. Thin guitar picks work too.

Try an X-acto knife in the seam to wiggle the two halves apart if a credit card won't fit. If the coin is stuck in the bottom of capsule, gently flex the capsule and the coin will gradually slide out enough to be pried out. Most recent capsules aren't very snug and are too easily pried apart with two fingers and dropping the coin accidentally, so beware of this.

Sharpening credit card by making thinner in the corner, or more pointy? The credit card certainly doesn't work as is. I tried exacto, but started damaging capsule without getting coin out. Also tried a dime, but also succeeded in damaging capsule, which I'm trying to avoid.

This shouldn't be so hard! I'm only trying to get these out so that I can put them in air tites and then the coins and airtites in Lighthouse capsule pages.

If your putting the coins into another capsule and into the pages, why are you concerned about damage to the Mint capsule?

Scrape both sides of one edge with a knife until it's has a V profile.
