Hello All,

I picked up a 2013 Proof Silver Eagle on ebay a few days ago. When I received the coin I noticed a rather large blemish to the right of lady liberty. Ultimately it turned out to be the inner portion of the mint capsule (looks like it had been roughed up a bit).

I wanted to put the proof into a new capsule, but when I popped the top off to replace it, I got a bit of dust/lint into the capsule, and on the coin itself.

What can I do now to fix this? Can I send the coin anywhere to have it resealed? I don't think I can remove the dust without getting more dust in there or damaging the coin.

Thanks

Any time I open proof sets, I have a fan blowing to keep dust from settling. You could use one of those bulb dusters for camera lenses to get it off. You could also blow on it, but watch for flying spit.
