I've also bought cheap proofs and common modern stuff like this slabbed just because it is so cheap (Got a few as low as $3 per slab). I don't worry about what they're worth or if I will make any profit; It's all about enjoying them. Nice pick-up!

I like some of the more modern halves in slabs. The FBL Franklins and a few Kennedy varieties like the ‘64 accented hair proof for instance.
