A few years back I met with Louis Chevrier and showed him this note:

Who-Can-Authenticate-My-Possible-Error-Note-In-Montreal,-Qc?

I suspected it was an error, but he said he couldn't say because it could be reproduced with chemicals.

I am trying to avoid grading companies because the fees for one single note is huge, probably more than the premium of the note itself.

The note I am trying to get authenticated is this one:

Who-Can-Authenticate-My-Possible-Error-Note-In-Montreal,-Qc?

Is there anyone in my area who can authenticate it ?

At this point you should have it authenticated and graded, it's not expensive, see this thread,

Has anyone noticed what is happening to the new poly bills..I had one half ripped and this one the wife handed me tonight...I think they are going to have a REAL problem with these bills.

I just checked the BCS website. You are correct, for 1 note 15$ is not expensive. However if you factor in the tax and the shipping both ways(20$ + costs for sending it to them). The premium for my note might be lower than the total costs due to its condition. Plus, it might not be an error so it's a gamble.

You already had one grading service reject this bill, why not just list it on ebay and get all you can for it, even if it is a real colour or ink smear, it's not a drastic note.

BCS does not provide certification for errors.

On their website look under grading standards and then special consideration.

Thank you for the input all, it seems to be too much trouble to get the error certified so off to ebay it goes.
