I
inherited a number of Morgan &
Peace dollars individually collected at a family owned clothing outlet between 1938 and 1962. Among them is the above referenced coin. It either has a double rim OR a precise groove 'in' the rim, along the entire circumference on the obverse side. It also has a tonal feature (matte or flat lacquer) finish on both sides. I want to assign a grade to this thing, but am confused how to apply one given its pecularities. (Pic attached - with comparative coin on the left)
