Hey guys, stumbled across this forum a short while ago. My dad and I have been collecting coins over the past 5-10 years. He's a medium size business owner and so any coins or bills he would get at each of his locations that he thought stood out he would just take them to the side and replace them with pocket money he had.

I have this Ike dollar with what appears to be gold toning, wanted your guys input on this.

Look forward to sharing some of the pieces I've come across with you all.

Thanks,
Gill

looks like you found an Ike that had been gold plated, and that has worn away and gotten discolored in places. A few of those were in the last batch of Ike$ I got.

Gill, you weigh them. The silver/clad is 24.59 grams, while the copper nickel is 22.68 grams

If there is no mint mark, then it is a Philadelphia minted Ike. They did not mint any of the silver pieces, so it can only be a plain old copper-nickel clad.
