Well,

I Got my 1908-m Full Gold Sovereign Back from ANACS Yesterday.... I was hoping for Low MS, but dreading it coming back in an AU-58.

The interesting thing is ANACS slabbed it backwards! I wonder if it is worth inquring about getting this fixed, or just leaving it this way. I have no plans of reselling it, as it goes to my kids..so I will probably just leave it as is... Also, does anyone know how long it takes to show up in the population report? When I clic on ANY of my 9 new coins, the link on the ANACS page states "Please contact Customer Service for Certification Information"

Here it is:

Out of curiosity, these population reports that the TPGs have, do they include all coins that other TPGs have slabbed or only their own?

Sheldon AU grade (EF for Australia) Renniks catalogue values these at bullion value + 25%.

3.08 million 1908M's were struck.

I would guess a fairly high population number in MS62.

Since ANACS has a much bigger data base for the slabbing of American coins it is much easier for them to provide an accurate number for the population in a given grade.

They may well have an estimated population number for MS62, but at this point in time, I suspect that not enough of them have been slabbed to provide a population number with which they would feel confident enough to publish.

Yep, the grading offers authenticity, conditiono safety, ease of storage, and theMS-62 is a very mild bonus.
Even 25% increase over waw value is a nice perk
