This was the only exonumia in my grandfather's old coin collection. It's a merchant token for some sort of restaurant. The diameter is almost exactly the same as a quarter. It says:

Good for 10ยข in trade
Old Corner Grill
2 Cherry St.
Wallingford, Conn.

What I would like to know is what time period it was from. Any other information is welcome. Your guess is as good as mine! Thanks. Here are pics:

IMHO ... Late 1940-1950's. Try doing a search of city directories.

Did a quick bit of Googling ...
Didn't find much, but it appears that the Old Corner Grill closed in 1965, so it would have been prior to that time.
Interesting piece.
