Where will it end? I think this will be a pass for me, interesting design, but not interesting enough to make the plunge.

Well there should be $500 for $500 as well in the near future.

But do not see the reason, why not also $300for$300 and $400for$400 This one has very nice design. Badly overpriced, but has a FV as 200. For me reminds the Tim Barnard coin. They call to the series "Landscapes of the North", while according to design, North meant as all Canada. Now, when this (1-st coin) has a lot of elements of "landscapes" - what will left for other coins. Hope - this will be annual edition. Will think to buy it.

for those interested, I've post the picture in rfd.
I kinda like the design. Unlike the Tim Barnard coin, I am able to see a few things from the coin.

The July 29 issue of CCN, mentions the RCM will produce a 1000.00 and 1250.00 coins in the near future, these must be a gold coin. My opinion only, but still a free roll on these type of coins.

Not a fan of the design but can't help compared it to the Tim Barnard, The new coin is smaller in diameter so less space for the design. The mintage is 20k versus 5k for the Barnard yet the price is $30 more?!
Considering they are both NCLT, the Barnard should be much more collectible; much lower mintage, larger, and lower issue price. But the Barnard was/is not very popular with collectors.
So what does the 200/200 have going for it? The vague promise that you can have it for a while and maybe cash it in sometime in the future by jumping through a bunch of hoops at your local bank?
I guess if the design were more appealing and I weren't feeling like the Mint has already taken me on this ride a few too many times I might take the plunge, but I'm passing on this one.

Very, very valid points, CC-Ottawa
I do not think, that this one will be popular. But with all the previous 2oz con "pluses" it has strong disadvantage compares to new $200 - the new coin has much more clear and recognizable design.

I pretty much agree with CC-Ottawa's comments, as well as the rest of yours. I would add the the design makes my head spin. I'm also extremely upset that my fellow Moose's head is upside down when the coin is right side up! P.S. What happened to the forum's spell checker?

Quote: Another word GARBAGE I am curious, elk..... as the person who established the personal business as re-seller and collector, do you call "garbage" cause it will not go well in the market? Do you remember, what people said about Perh Mint coins? And suddenly, their new garbage "Ancient Gods" went well, so people crashed the website and did different moves to get next garbage - Poseidon.
