Are Wheat cent rolls more valuable unopened or opened?
Should I disregard the packaging and satisfy my curiosity?
I would much rather open them...

Picture shows a 1929 roll, 1947 s roll, 1952 s roll, and two 1958 d uncirculated rolls.

What would you do?

The rolls already look like they are opened on the left side, I would say you have a better chance of scoring a nice MS coin if you open and search. holding them in the roll adds little value, however you actually may have some 1909s vdb inside.

I personally would not have thought more than a second about opening them.

I would open them and look for errors and varieties and higher grades. Good luck.

I opened them, and found no 1909s vdb. But, many seem to be in really good shape. The years on the rolls did correspond to what was inside. Thanks.

The only rolls you question opening are genuine OBW. These are all made rolls so you're safe to open them.
