For sure. In that range, I think I could definitely upgrade everything across the board that I have in lower grades. Stuff like the Barber half I can't afford much of an upgrade, but at least a few grades higher I could manage.

Congratulations on completing your type set! That's awesome! I've never fully completed any set yet, although I'm so close with many of them. Good luck on your hunt for updates, that will be a fun search!

Where's the gold? And the different "type" varieties? Congrats! Just remember, only upgrade if/when you're comfortable doing so. You might need to scrimp and save for a few months to get some nice MS specimens, but it'll be worth it more that just a few grades higher at a time. (Trust me, I've been there) And check your pawn shops...scored a nice MS 1883 no cents and an Fr-AG 1885 V nickel almost a year ago for 90 cents each. Find the pawnbrokers who truly don't know anything about coins!

Wow, that is a great score. As for this typeset, I'm trying to only include coins made after 1900 so it's a true 20th century set. Although if I found any MS Liberty nickel for 90 cents, I would hope on that just to throw it in my collection.

a few months! I have been working on it since the Whitman folder was released and am still missing the barber's and liberty's. Then again all my coins to fill it have cost face value, so I guess the wait is worth it. I like how yours lets you pick the State Quarter and mine said 2000 (being 20th century not 21st century) but I rebelled and put in the one I wanted to anyway since they all have the same obverse. I also cheated like your clad-half with my Peace, and put it in backwards to read the PEACE on it. Is that cheating? Is a pain if I ever wonder what year it is, but I will fix that soon with a label. (If I ever remember to finally do it. )

With folders, you only see one side, so I usually do a mix of obverse and reverse or with a set like this, I'd use the side that I liked looking at more.

The way I did it was I would show the observe if there was only one example of a coin, and both side if there were multipe examples, like for the modern coins with silver and clad versions. I also showed the reserve for the special issues like the bicentinneals and State Quarter. Eventually I'll upgrade to an album that shows both sides, but this will do for now. I'm not too worried about folder damage since the most I spent on any of these coins is 25 bucks. I'm not putting anything too valuable in there.

Yes the Buffalo is really nice- great strike. Surprised this folder does not divide the Buffaloes into the two known types (mound vs. line).

I like the folder very much. In fact, when I decide to do a 20th century type set, I just may get two folders. One for heads and one for tails.

Looks pretty good I am more of an album guy than a folder guy so you can see both sides of the coins but thats not bad for $106. I am about done with the 20th century whitman album and that has run me over $300 but that has some expensive types in it like the T1 Standing Liberty quarter.

These are some nice coins for the price range. If you are looking for a good album to use eventually, I would recommend the Whitman 20th and 21st Century Type album. I just got one and have nothing but good things to say about it.

You inspired me. I picked up the Whitman version of this folder and I'm about half way there with what I already had in my random coin collection plus a cheap mint set.
