I HAD an Adelaide Pound; it was sold as part of an Australian gold type set, way back in 1976. I needed the money when setting up for our first house. I bought it for myself, with money accumulated from my 21st birthday, owned it for 9 years.
An acceptible piece in VF condition. Bought it for $250, sold it for $1,000.

My then new wife was much more fun!

Adelaide Pounds can be acquired by anyone within a year or so, if you are prepared to throw enough money at the purchase.
Just make sure you buy it from a dealer of the absolute highest reputation, who knows his stuff, because there are a few fakes about.
