Greetings!

I received this bill from a deli many years ago. One side is almost entirely missing. Very faintly, one can make out the numbers (one), lettering ("The United States of America" and "One Dollar"), and the eagle wings and crest - all in green. The bill was crisp, straight-from-the-bank, when I got it, but not realizing the bill's error, I folded it, along with the rest of the change, and put it in my wallet. As a result, you can see three very faint creases. I kept the bill next to it that has a consecutive serial number.

I'm not really looking to sell, but I am curious of its value.

Thoughts?

Appears to be a "blank back" error. Here's one on ebay that sold recently: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-1969-BLAN...047675.l2557

Your note might be a bit less than this because you folded it once, but in all honestly I wouldn't have even began to think it had been judging by what I see in the photos. Very nice error you have here.

Thanks for the feedback! Do you know if a true "blank back" is valued more or less than mine, which has some very faint images?

Since serial numbers seem to be the focus of this forum, can anyone tell me if the serial number on this bill increases its value?

The serial number on your note has no effect on the value.

I forgot to add, if you have the other normal note with the sequential serial number, I would keep it. Some collectors may like the 2 notes together, even though the added value would be minimal, but marketability may increase. *** Edited by Staff - Please Review the rules that you agreed to when you registered. ***
