I still haven't got my coins back that I sent in for the free grading promotion, and just got offered another deal:
"ANACS Summer Special Dollars & Cents...And Halves
Our most popular promotion is back...with a special twist. This summer, the Dollars & Cents special now includes U.S. Silver Dollars, Small Cents, AND HALF DOLLARS. As always, this great deal is just $10 per coin, has a 10 coin minimum, and is scheduled for a three week turnaround. "
Looks like this is another email deal offered for people who signed up for their newsletter

I have exactly one ANACS coin in my collection and regret buying it.

I haven't got mine back yet so I have yet to form an opinion. Why do you regret it Shermae? Did it not grade correctly?

I think it's slightly overgraded and possibly cleaned.

IMO, it's not much of a deal they are running, except for the 3 week turn around time.

Hmm, good to know, I'll scrutinize mine more when I get them.
mgillette; I think it's a good deal considering PCGS charges $6 more per coin for modern coins. I asked in another thread, I don't know why so many people use PCGS when ANACs is so much cheaper and more customer-friendly. I've never got a single email reply from PCGS, let alone a newsletter with deals like ANACs has sent out twice now.
I guess it's just personal preference up to the collector, but I see tons of PCGS coins on the market, some NGC, but very few ANACs considering they're the original grading company that invented the business.

Quote: I think it's slightly overgraded and possibly cleaned. Same. Mine is a 2011-S PR70DCAM Cent that I got for $4.

That sounds like a pretty good deal! Lol I'll take a PR70DCAM off your hands for $4 if you don't like it ;)

ANACS has been good to me the two times I used them. Total of 4 coins graded and I feel they are 4 for 4. True the slabs sometimes don't command quite the $ as PCGS or NGC. I also used PCGS recently for a rarer coin that I just wanted in their holder. I think the ANACS current 10 coins for $10 each w/free return shipping is a pretty good deal. I'd do it if I had 10 coins laying around.
