I'm actually terribly sorry that I didn't say it earlier.
I'll be visiting the great Serbian city of Belgrade tomorrow (the 23rd), for all of 10 or so hours (basically 2-11pm); and I really wanted to buy some coins [and maybe paper money] there (I'm not currently sure which ones I would prefer, but most likely I'll end up buying mostly Balkan stuff because that's kind of the speciality).

Question one: which places could I visit in such a brief period? (Even briefer actually because there's the fortress and the Nikola Tesla museum and whatever.) Note that I don't want any expensive silver stuff - never mind gold; about $15 is the absolute top I'm going to spend on a single coin, and I'd rather have it much lower.
Question two: as ridiculous as it sounds, does anyone want to try and meet me? Note that I do not promise it will work out even from my side, but I believe there is a bunch of Serbian CCF members, so it's not a complete impossibility.

Bonus question: anyone has a list of circulating money, of any country, featuring Nikola Tesla? This is supposed to exclude any obviously noncirculating commemoratives (and, just in case, any gold even if it circulated), but include paper money.
(Yes, I'm pretty sure I'll never have all the coins/notes in that list because at least one of them will turn out to be too expensive. Whatever. Tesla was a pretty darn ridiculously cool guy.)

I guess I'm too late with my response ) sorry about that.
If you ever visit Belgrade again best place to buy coins is weekly numismatic meetings every Thursday (16h - 19h) near saint Sava temple - Slavija.

Next place where you can buy coins is Kalemegdan park near fortress but would not recommend buying there because prices are high and for tourists. I never heard of special coin shop in Belgrade, just some antique shops that might have coins but prices there must be high too.

Third place where you can look is one of the flee markets but you have to get there on right day of the week and usually before noon. First one that gets there got best stuff

As of Nikola Tesla coins/paper money. Coins are usually commemorative noncirculated but there are few that have been in circulation (speaking for Serbia and I think that Croatia has issued some too). I think that there are much more paper money with Nikola Tesla usually ones for inflation in 1990-s and contemporary Serbian money. I can make you a list for Serbian/Yugoslavian money if you still need it.

Greetings from Serbia.

Thanks!

I won't be visiting Belgrade anytime soon (excluding the upcoming transfer that is hardly even worthy of being called a stopover). However, I'll try to remember this thread if I ever plan going there again, and I doubt I'm the only non-Serbian coin collector going to Belgrade either.

I bought some banknotes, and I think a coin, in Kalemegdan park; don't remember what exactly, just some cool old stuff (as far as I recall it wasn't even Serbian). Most of the coins I wanted were far too expensive, however.

As for the Tesla list, that was something I really only planned to do upon returning to Moscow (and generally a relatively long-term semi-theoretical project), so I would be thankful for it anyway.
