The more I look at it the more I like the coin. The artistic style is top notch. If not for the fuzz factor it would be a premium quality sestertius. Metdet may be right that it was 'lacquered' and that would account for the evenness of the toning. If course stripping it may leave you with a bright shinny brass color.
I think it is probably best to leave it as is for now.

It is an impressive piece to own

As for maybe having it slabbed .. was thinking that .. just to have
it authenticated .. in case I ever did want to sell it .. Not that it
would be anytime soon ..

The more I look at the coin .. the more I am liking it.
