went to a few banks no one had halves. 5th bank they finally had 450$ in loose halves. Silly me bought 280$ worth, NOTHING OF VALUE. also bought 25$ in pennies,, going to go through them with the gf tonight. If I would have found just 1 goodie in the 280$ worth, I would have went back and bought the rest. I'm pretty sure I searched through a lot that had been searched and sold back, but the lady had no idea the history behind the 450$ lot of loose halves. Couldnt resist.

I have followed your second rule of CRH a few times and have always been skunked. So now, I go with the odds. Take half, search that, if I find something interesting maybe go back. This way I don't have a lot invested at any one time. I do keep entertained while doing the search. However, I have found that when I take it all, I'm always disappointed in the end. The think that there is some sort of Murphy law involved in the whole transaction anyway. I've never decided which.

Have searched close to one half million dollars in coin.

I have found many solid rolls of silver halves, by always buying them all.

Joe shmoe turned in $390 worth of hand rolled clad Kennedys, Granny turned in 5 solid rolls of silver Franklins just after...

Dont' ya wish you'd bought that last $50 worth?

After all, what's it cost you to dump the extra quantity, time?

Agreed! Murphy insists that the one find would have been in the other half.
