This is worn only on the obverse side. It is bent in the center. (Converse if looking at the obverse and concave if looking from the reverse.)

I have seen them before on different dates.Not sure but I think it's a plating issue.I would put it in a 2x2 for now.

I don't think this is an error. It looks like environmental damage to me.

I would also put in a 2 x 2 and sit on it for a while.

We are finding New things out about OLD coins and mintages all the time.

Plus, it's just cool!

The reason I said it looks like environmental damage to me is because I pull stuff like this all the time metal detecting. I'm not saying 100% that's what this is but its what I think it is. But I will say I don't think its an error but like the others say put it away until you get a definite answer.

When it comes to partial plating or no plating the zinc is real shiny. That is dull and grey and that raised red flags to me and pointed towards PMD.
