Hello all,
Ive got here an silver coin which looks like one from Cyprus. medieval alround the templar knight period. However I've seen coins with one side an lion and other side cross and lyrics about the same. But not the exact one.

I am hoping someone could help me solve this puzzle.

Teir are very similar ones under "crusader" coins, bayside. Might be worth a scroll.

The obverse legend ends with REI DE. Before that, the monarch's name ends with VE. That gives two possibilities: IAQVE for James I (I think James II deniers may be more likely to use the Latin IACOBVS), or HVGVE, for one of the Hughs, more likely Hugh IV.

I think the obverse reads (starting at 12 o clock):
D.G.?QVE.REX
That could mean that the missing part is a place

corrections welcome

Thanks alot! I found this. What do you think? The legend tones alot similarities and the lyrics look the same. Or almost the same:

Crusaders, Kingdom of Cyprus, Hugh III, 1267 - 1284
From the collection of Alex G. Malloy, former dealer for 40 years and co-author of "Coins of the Crusader States." The legends give Hugh III his titles as King of Jerusalem and Cyprus.
31979. Billon denier, Metcalf Crusaders type 2, pl. 26, 663, Malloy Crusaders 75a (Hugh IV), VF, 0.569g, 16.9mm, 315°, obverse + hVGVE: REI: DE:, cross pattée, double pellet stops; reverse + IhRL' m:ED' ChIPR., lion rampant left, S-shaped tail, pellet at end of legend;
