Was going through some proof sets cracking out to work on dansco albums tonight when I came across this as I was cracking a 74-S set for the PR Ike inside... Not sure if I should send it in...I did my best to try and capture the color the best I could but believe me the pics don't do this coin any justice..I don't even know how to describe the color as when I look at it the color is so deep I can see greens and yellows as you are looking through the purple & magenta ... Really neat looking half..I have had these sets forever and it's my birth year It's NT for sure as those sets are a pain in the butt to get open as well as trying not to damage coins in the process.. Anyway here ya go guys enjoy! You can see the reverse is/was just starting to tone under the bottom of eagle between half & dollar. Comments are welcome and thanks for any opinions on grading/value etc.

I'd dip it, but that's just me.

Looks very cool! Always interests me when one side is extremely toned and the other is not / barely. Very interesting piece!

I like it. Leave it alone. If you do not like it, get rid of it; but leave it alone.

Thanks for the comments everyone.. Yeah Jbuck I am just gonna leave it exactly as is ecept for putting it in a flip and adding it to the family of other toners so he isn't lonely

Not for nothing and speaking hypothetically of course, but I would spend it before I ever thought of dipping a coin with that deep of a toning and colors as deep and vibrant as they are. I'm not a huge toner collector but I keep the ones with nice eye appeal..Sometimes ya get lucky.. I usually will not pay a premium for toners or much of one anyway, but don't get me wrong I have seen some toners that are just in a class of their own and would absolutely not even bat an eye at paying the premium to get the coin if I had that kinda money but it's not my main interest when it comes to the types of coins I collect.
