This is an odd question. I bought a 2010 ATB Silver Proof Set. I returned it because of a damaged lens. I just received the replacement. I noticed that the Grand Canyon is now above the Hot Springs coin. I have searched this set and they all have the Grand Canyon on the bottom and the Hot Springs above it. This is how my first set was. So my odd question is if this is considered an error set, because the coins are in a different spot? Silly, but I had to ask.

Lol, sorry man. The placement of the coin is pretty irrelevant, because the composition remains the same. If you found something wrong or damaged with the coin then you might have had a error set.

I had that happen with a Presidential proof set, as it turned out the set had been opened and some of the coins had been replace. Look very closely for signs of tampering.

Set was probably put together from singles.

The sets open easily; they are not sealed at all. You can easily correct (or create) the "error."

Hey everyone thank you for the input. I was surprised to see how easily the US mint sets were to open. I bought the set from Mint Products and I believe them to be reputable dealer. I believe the quarters to be silver.

I am starting to see how careful I have to be when purchasing coins. I was wondering where someone would get empty lenses from. Then I remembered what Mike Mezack does on HSN. He reuses the cases that he opens to be graded. I have bought rolls of silver proof quarter and I can see how someone can send sets off to be graded and refill them. Don't worry I know not to buy anything from HSN but I watch it to see who much he is overcharging for everything he sells. I must admit " I have bought some things from reputable dealers just because I knew I was getting them for half of what HSN sell them for." You could say he has propelled me to buy some things I had not consider buying, because I would look up what he was selling and find it at APMEX or Mint Products for half of what he was charging.

Sometimes you can find empty lenses at coin shows. Be aware that the design did change throughout the years, so make sure you get the right one.
